The United States House of Representatives has approved a bill to create a
kids subdivision within the .us country-code top-level domain. Among other
things, the latest version of the proposal contains language to "prohibit
hyperlinks in the new domain" that would take users to materials outside of
.kids.us. The U.S. Senate is expected to begin consideration of a broadly
similar measure soon.
