[ncdnhc-discuss] 2002 1st Adcom Meeting Report!

Dear NCDNHC Members,

We had the first adcom member meeting on March 8th. 
This is a brief report.

We, some of adcom members - Chun, Harold, Thierry had one meeting on March
8th. And we got Erick's comments on that after that meeting. This is our
decisions.


1. Confirmation of NC Members and Adcom Members

Respecting Dany's remark, we confirmed Erick would be an NC member and
EU-region adcom member would be Marc Schneider.


2. Ghana NCDNHC Meeting

- American Civil Society group requested to allow us to use the morning
session and meeting place of NCDNHC for their own at-large related
meeting. 

- We accpeted their request because at the moment, our agenda for f2f
meeting is enough for the latter half of the day. The afternoon session
will start 14:00. The first half of the meeting will be presided by
Thierry and the latter half by the other. 

Now, the meeting place is as follows: 
Date: March 11, Monday
Place: La Palm Beach Hotel

Chris Chiu, we hope you announce your plan as soon as possible.

- Thierry will organize one adcom meeting for the preparation of ncdnhc
meeting Sunday night (March 10). If possible, Chun will join in Salzburg
invitee meeting in the morning and to meet Thierry and Erick there.


3. Rearrangement of TFs

Chun and Harold agreed 

- Harold will join in UDRP TF and we hope that TF would allow Milton
Mueller to continue his contribution in that TF if he accept it. And we
request Milton Mueller to continue his remaining work in .ORG TF and UDRP
TF because in these two fields, his contribution was extraordinarily great
and the continuity of the work is very important. Specifically in .ORG TF,
if RFP is to be put forward by ICANN headquater, the review of that RFP is
very important. But in .ORG TF if his chairposition is no longer
maintained and it is very decisive factor to be taken into account, Harold
is ready to replace his role.

- Request Sarah Andrews (Electronic Privacy Information Center) to
participate in Whois TF. She and her organization have good expertise in
this field and she had showed up her willingness to join in that TF. Erick 
suggested to decide it after her CV is to be confirmed.

- We discussed about Erick's status in UDRP TF as a ccTLD representative
even though he is an NC member in NCDNHC constituency. But we agreed that
ccTLD's interest is more complex and not simply commercial, so no problem
in his maintenance of his status as ccTLD rep. in UDRP TF.

- As Erick wanted to take, Erick would join in Transfer and New TLD TFs.

- Chun will take IDN, New TLD TFs.

- Raul Echebarria is taking a good job in Structure TF. And so we expect
him to continue to do it.

- For administrative committees, Chun will join in Intake Committee.


4. Response to Stuart Lynn's Reform Proposal

Now ICANN headquater is saying that Reform Proposal is a proposal document
for getting comments and they hope Board to decide something about
restructuring plan of ICANN up to the next Bucharest Meeting held in
coming June. We changed some recent information what is going on in ICANN
community. Harold Feld will prepare for the draft resolution and post it
to discussion list as soon as possible.
