According to this, Kent Crispin is staff for Tribalwise, a for profit 
venture, and Dave Crocker is Chair of Tribalwise.   Do the other ICANN 
staffers have more than one job?   Do other members of the ICANN NCC run 
companies that employee ICANN staffers?   Jamie

TribalWise, Inc. is a Delaware corporation, founded in March, 2001 with 
headquarters in Sunnyvale, California. The tribe has been working in stealth 
mode for more than a year and has recently completed the alpha version of 
its first product.

Staff experience includes a variety of product and service startups and 
public companies, covering management, marketing and senior engineering 
positions. Technical experience contributing to the TribalWise effort 
includes distributed systems, networking, email, databases and security.


Management

Dave Crocker, President and CEO
Mr. Crocker has been creating and managing the development of Internet 
products, technologies and standards for 30 years. He worked with a variety 
of startups including Boldfish and General Magic, and founded Portola 
Communications, Inc., which produced messaging software and was acquired by 
Netscape Communications. Mr. Crocker was principal architect and director of 
development for MCI Mail and led development at a number of Silicon Valley 
companies, producing TCP/IP, OSI and network management products. Mr. 
Crocker also founded the Internet Mail Consortium.


Mikel Lechner, Chief Technical Officer
Mr. Lechner has been in software development for more than twenty years. At 
NEC Technologies he was Director of Engineering, leading creation of an 
Internet firewall product. Mr. Lechner co-founded IP Devices, doing Internet 
software consulting. Mr. Lechner also worked with Market Engine, developing 
Java-based fault-tolerant and scalable processing software.


Mike Cunningham, VP Operations
Mr. Cunningham was VP Hardware/Software Quality Assurance at Metricom 
(Ricochet wireless). He has held senior management positions in quality 
assurance and hardware/software development and has delivered has delivered 
ECAD software at Synopsys, Cadence and Valid Logic, mass storage subsystems 
at Adaptec and System Industries, and computer systems at Ridge Computers.


Rosie Pongracz, VP Marketing
Ms. Pongracz possesses more than 15 years of marketing management experience 
with startups and public corporations, involving wireless communications, 
new Enterprise applications, telecommunications, Web-based business 
applications, computer telephony integration and medical instrumentation. 
She was a founder of mobile Internet emarketing startup Higher Order, and 
led product marketing and marketing strategy at iAmaze, a Web-based 
application startup acquired by America Online (AOL).


Mallory Stevens, Director of Product Management and Customer Support
Ms. Stevens has over 10 years of experience in the technical services arena 
for small to mid-size companies, as well as an independent consultant. She 
has created and expanded technical support organizations for several 
companies, responding to the demands of quickly changing customer needs, 
rapid company growth and the transformation of product offerings, due to 
changes in company direction, acquisitions and mergers.


Staff


Kent Crispin
Mr. Crispin was with the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) for 
more than twenty years, and serves as Technical Systems Manager at the 
Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). While at LLNL 
he designed and developed numerous operating system, networking and 
security-related projects, on multiple platforms. These included POSIX 
conformance on a proprietary operating system, firewall and DNS 
administration and online authentication. Mr. Crispin also founded 
Songbird.com, an Internet consultancy and specialty service provider.


Charles McGregor
Mr. McGregor has held a variety of senior technical leadership positions 
over the last twenty years, including startups onDisplay, OnQuo, and Waltrip 
& Associates, where he developed business-to-business applications. During 
10 years with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Mr. McGregor developed 
an advanced logistics inquiry system for the Gulf War that utilized 
encrypted email and software robots and was the architect of the first 
electronic financial transfer between the Labs and a bank using the 
Internet. Mr. McGregor also created the first ecommerce hub between the US 
government and the commercial sector.


Vish Ramakrishnan
Mr. Ramakrishnan has more than a decade of experience in designing, 
developing and managing enterprise software products. He is Vice President 
of Systems Development and Services, at Innovius Inc. responsible for 
designs based on the integration of integration of innovative technologies. 
Mr. Ramakrishnan was previously at eBalance as Director of Software 
Development, responsible for the its Account Aggregation system. He has also 
served as Manager of HDL Compilers at Ikos Systems and held technical lead 
positions at Cadence Design Systems.
