Milton and all:

I support this statement, although it is not necessary to make (why we
have to insist
in ashame to Verisign?) since there is a provision
in the .ORG Registry Agreement between Verisign and ICANN regarding such
issue:

"5.1.2 Registry Operator acknowledges and agrees that upon the earlier
of (i) the Expiration Date or (ii)
termination of this Agreement by ICANN pursuant to Subsection 5.4, it
will cease to be the operator of the
Registry TLD and neither it nor any affiliated entity will be eligible
to seek to continue to operate the
Registry TLD."

Full text can be found in:
http://www.icann.org/tlds/agreements/verisign/registry-agmt-org-25may01.htm

If the Task Force insists in the proposed statement then I suggest an
slightly modification:

"In the interest of increasing competition, the Names Council Task Force
on
.ORG, doesn't wish to see the incumbent dominant provider of gTLD
registry
services, Verisign, take an interest in or contract to deliver any
services
to the new management organization, as stablished by the .ORG Registry
Agreement
according to the Subsection 5.1.2. and it might comply with all
provisions
stablished in the Section 5 of such agreement".

Best Regards
Vany
