This is a pretty amazing statement. It seems so typical of
the ICANN inner-circle, and explains why they eliminated
the At-large altogether.
They view any dissent or disagreement
as a threat to be eliminated rather than as a natural part
of institutionalizing an important infrastructure.
It should be noted that Auerbach and Mueller-Maguhn
were elected by overwhelming margins relative to the
people the ICANN Board/staff nominated. Rather than
accepting the simple and obvious fact that their views
are out of touch with what people want, ICANN
blames "the procedure" of voting. Bah.
