I would solemnly ask that you take these words into consideration and begin this
process in earnest.  Alejandro seems quite sincere here and it would do all well
to move into this area of concern.

Mission, Process and Stakeholders are key to the foundation of moving forward.
Of course if you have these the funders will follow.
