A committee of the United States House of Representatives approved an
amended version of a bill to create a kids subdivision within the .us
country-code top-level domain. Among other things, the plan contains
additional language to "prohibit hyperlinks in the new domain" that would
take users to materials outside of .kids.us. The amended proposal could to
go before the full House as early as next week.
