I agree with your comments, except about IANA.
What Harold is saying is that use of the term "IANA"
facilititates a "word game" that helps ICANN and the
US Department of Commerce to obscure who really
has authority over the decision. Just substitute the
word "ICANN" for IANA and stick to it. Don't let anyone
confuse us on this. IANA = ICANN.
