Seems we have two ideal candidates for one position.
How about the two of you working together? As Milton mentioned, it
should be possible to have a secondary member on the task force list.
One of you take the vote but agree to consult and reach agreement
before making any decision. I would be very happy with either or
both representing the constituency.
Or, we could discuss this for a week or so, take a vote on who should
be on the task force, and while we are waiting the constituency will
be unrepresented.
Please note the task force was launched on Oct. 4. Some task force
members held a meeting in Marina del Rey last week. Terms of
reference have been posted
<http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/nc-str/Arc00/msg00012.html> All
constituencies are represented except ours. The timeframe from the
terms of reference:
Timeframe:
The task force will consider proposals made to the Board by the ALSC
or DNSO constituencies before 31 January 2002.
Agreement on terms of reference -- 23 November
Development of criteria -- 30 November
Data gathering - December/January
So we are probably already too late to influence the terms of reference.
Raul, Eung Hwi; can you work together on this?
Thanks,
Adam
(and can we drop the discussion thread from the announce list?)
