Milton's professional work uses a great deal of his activities with
ICANN. He also serves as a UDRP judge. Why are you not concerned about
HIS conflict of interest?
There are two different ways to deal with concerns over conflict of
interest. One is to seek purity by all acceptable participants. This is
the correct model, in some situations.
However it is NOT appropriate for an open forum with a wide range of
participations. In such cases, the usual technique is to seek BALANCE, not
"purity". Balance is achieved by incorporating a wide range of people,
affiliations, perspectives and opinions. That way, no one person has too
much control. And ultimately, an argument wins on its merits.
