Dave, but future .ORG charter not necesarily has to be retroactive.
Registrations
subject to new .ORG charter can be applied only to registrations after
.ORG Divesture, if it
is the decision of the Registry.
However the Registry can decide, and for benefit the Non-Commercial
Community, challenges that happens after .ORG Divesture
will follow the charter and any new DRP designed specially to .ORG,
and/or any rules for challenged placed after .ORG divesture
regardless when the domain name was registered. My idea is that
together, the charter and the DRP gives priority to
Non-Commercial organizations and/or activities determined by the
charter, over commercials, individuals and other entities
that prevented non-commercials to register on .ORG. What I mean is that
freedom for challenges can occur, but if no challenges
at all, then anyone can follow holding their domain regardless who was
the one who registered it.
Do you this could be a good deal?
Best Regards
Vany
