Sure, vet widely, here for starters. Just think with everyone so swamped you’ll probably get more useful inputs F2F.

BTW I agree with Joly’s point about organizational vs individual, it should be reflected. Off the top of my head on my first morning coffee, additions to our merry band of hard core activists of late seem to have leaned toward organizational member reps whose paid day job is Internet analysis and activism, but I don’t know that that would hold up as a generalization in a well responded to survey. A priori one might think volunteering out of just personal interest to be a little more fragile for newbies, especially where language/culture type variables are added, but I don’t know, which makes a survey enticing.

If so it might be useful to know more about the methodology. If not, then can't we expand/adapt our survey to the wider community to be more methodological?

The idea was to set up a simple framework and try to get chairs to respond, and then take it to the broader community, which we do at the Monday “high interest” session. But it’s been slow going with little real engagement, mostly me and a staffer, and after several prompts other chairs don’t seem inclined to add this to their workloads alas. But we’ll discuss at the chairs meeting Friday, could help.

It looked at first glance a bit narrowly targeted, in my mind not many rebukers/lecturers to choose from. But who knows, in the eye of the beholder…

As noted previously I will schedule some discussion time on the MAT and inreach for the Constituency Day meeting (releasing a draft schedule held up by tardy staff replies on participation invitations, will just go ahead without them today). I think it would be useful to vet this there with attendees and get feedback, as many of the more engaged members are really swamped with other stuff right now and might not reply online. Also discussion could elicit useful tweaks via the back and forth.

I mentioned that the SOACSGC chairs have a subgroup that’s supposed to be working on a simple matrix I set up, it might be worth looking at that in tandem (and providing input if able). https://community.icann.org/display/gsenorthamwkspc/Volunteer+Engagement+Project <https://community.icann.org/display/gsenorthamwkspc/Volunteer+Engagement+Project>
