[NCUC Finance] Budget Requests Due Next Friday

Hi Wilson

Glad to hear you were able to attend that session. I'm not quite sure how to interpret what you report here though. Since some of the requests were undoubtedly excessive or silly (e.g. NPOC asked for money for "experts" to speak on our IGF panel about NC @ GNSO, which of course is nonsense), it can't be that they simply approved everything. Did they provide any more differentiated info?

In any event, I can't imagine they didn't agree to the measly $2,000 I requested for print materials, but as discussed yesterday we should request more for the rest of the FY. I suspect something will be provided for IGF, though perhaps not as much as I asked for. We still need to request for the conference and other items…

I will have almost no time to work on them, after returning from Beijing I'm in Geneva for three days, Zurich for one teaching, and then off to Panama for the summer school. So I won't be able to decide solo what we want for the next fiscal year and then do the apps, a group effort this time would be really welcome.

I am merely measuring interest, not suggesting it is mandatory, and I'm not even sure it is necessary. It is likely, however, that we will not have as many members in one place for the remainder of our term. If we need a theme it could merely be 'where do we go from here?'.
