Good afternoon,
I would like express my interest in the NCSG EC position.

I
am a Public Policy PhD whose dissertation focused on ICANN's structure.
This means that I am extremely well aware of the NCSG broadly and NCUC
in particular. I am also a three time ICANN Fellow, and while my
official attempt to join NCUC is very recent, I have been, unofficially,
a supporter and a champion of NCSG. I am very familiar with the ICANN
bylaws, GNSO Operating Procedures and the NCSG Charter, by design.
Throughout my academic and professional career, I have championed the
creation and role of large consensus-based committees to solve
thorny policy problems. While I am currently involved in a few projects,
such as my upcoming PostDoc position at NYU, an international project
on content moderation, and a few smaller US-based projects, I would be
committed to the NCSG EC position and would dedicate specific time to
join conferences, deal with membership applications, and spend time on
the mailing list. Attached is my academic CV.

Thank you for your consideration,

Looking forward to any potential next steps.

Have a great day,

I am a longtime member of NCUC who is familiar with our Charter and working methods. I’m also familiar with NCSG’s Charter and Operating Procedures and am able to apply those rules to the membership applications as they come in. I am available for tele-meetings and via email lists and would be honored to continue to represent NCUC on the NCSG Executive Committee. Please let me know if I can answer any questions or provide any additional information on this application.
