it has been a month and I am following up on this thread as
time is of the essence.<br>
On the one side we have the format to design and I have read
several interesting proposals.<br>
<br>
Right now I am focussing on the actual time slot.<br>
<br>
- Given that the Additional Budget Request was refused
suggested as Core, this means that we could have some limited
funding for a lunch or cocktail. I have heard figures of
At-Large being able to put $1200, with a hope that GSE could
put $1200. Could NCUC also put $1200 on the table?<br>
<br>
- Given that the Barcelona meeting is going to be overloaded
with sessions, with the EPDP etc. all eating up tons of cycles
and the meetings team having decided to scrap the Friday of
the week apparently because "the community asked for a shorter
AGM in the latest travel public comment", the word "struggle"
is an understatement when asking for 3 hours or 2 x 1.5 hours.<br>
<br>
We had only two options:<br>
- Day 1 - Saturday 20th October - clashes with the all day
EPDP sessions<br>
- Day 2 - Sunday 21st October - clashes with GNSO policy work
day, other PDPs and also ALAC work<br>
<br>
A recent meeting of the At-Large Outreach & Engagement WG
was attended by Siranush Vardanyan and she mentioned that the
NextGen and the Fellows will be busy on day 1 from 8:00am
until 3:00pm (15:00) with all of the "newcomers day"
presentations and sessions.<br>
So may I suggest we try for Day 1, block 4 (15:15-16:45) and
block 5 (17:00-18:30)?<br>
This has the advantage that we could ask to keep the room that
the Fellowship & NextGen are using and therefore we'll
have a captive audience to start with, in a room that should
be large enough, and then afterwards we are encouraged to
continue with a joint Fellowship/NextGen cocktail?<br>
<br>
Now I know this is going to clash with some of the EPDP stuff,
but it's going to be impossible to find any slot in the week
that would be unconflicted with someone or other.<br>
