Bill is our representative now but he is term limited and cannot represent NCUC on nomcom anymore. We need to issue a call. This is a very important position and a someone well versed about NCUC and ICANN should be appointed. I suggest the following approach:</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">We issue the call for applications as soon as possible (please respond by Friday if you have comments on the call for application), if we do not receive many applications from qualified candidates, we extend the call for application but in the meantime have a call to explain to members what is required at NomCom (we can invite Bill or Brenden to explain NomCom to the members). Accomplished persons of integrity, objectivity, and intelligence, with reputations for sound judgment and open minds, and with experience and competence with collegial large group decision-making;<br>2. Persons with wide contacts, broad experience in the Internet community, and a commitment to the success of ICANN;<br>3. Persons whom the selecting body is confident will consult widely and accept input in carrying out their responsibilities;<br>4. Persons who are neutral and objective, without any fixed personal commitments to particular individuals, organizations, or commercial objectives in carrying out their Nominating Committee responsibilities;<br>5.
