Hi all,

Oh great news about Louise! Awesome! Very good for LAC, Renata! Congratulations!

Then it's a very easy decision: with having Louise on board already, I support giving funding to Aarti, Grace and Ming and hope Farz can take decision that would allow them all to attend. I think 1900-1300-800 USD looks like a fair distribution in accordance with their requests?

Cheers

Tanya

On 12 Jan 2017 08:56, "Renata Aquino Ribeiro" <raquino@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi
Louise is being integrated in other program for newcomers in ICANN.
Therefore, this program may result in her participation in meetings so
there may be the possibility of her coming already to Copenhagen
through this program. It was a LAC inclusion effort, since ICANN has
had less engagement from LAC since the move out of meeting schedule in
2016 and 2017.

So my vote goes for Aarti, Ming and Grace for the same reasons
proposed here by other NCUC members. I believe even if partial funding
to Ming and Grace, they'll still be able to attend. I understand the
funding, even if partial, will be given in the amount decided by
chair.

Thanks Anna, David and Tatiana for bringing more relevant points to
this discussion and also openness to mentoring. We'll also have NCUC
members as fellows and it would be great to also reach them out for
mentoring conversations.

Best, Renata
