<div dir="ltr">It seems like I am out of my timezone and did not consider this time difference. Sorry about that. <div><br></div><div>the problem is that at the moment we don't have a set of criteria and a specific process for allocating these travel slots to the EC. So in the beginning and since there is an urgent need to assign the travel slot, have to go with first come first served basis unless EC can discuss among themselves and see if someone can forgo a travel slot in favor of the other. I suggest discussing the process of allocating EC members travel slots in our first EC call and come up with a solution. </div><div><br></div><div>That said, you can have my travel slot. I will submit your name soon. Renata cannot make it and Tatiana has kindly suggested that she will source funding for this trip through other means. So I think we are good for Copenhagen and we can discuss the allocation of travel slot to EC in a call for future meetings.</div><div><br></div><div>Best</div><div><br></div><div>Farzaneh</div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><div class="gmail_quote">On 9 December 2016 at 00:17, David Cake <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:dave@davecake.net" target="_blank">dave@davecake.net</a>></span> wrote:<br><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div style="word-wrap:break-word">So - looks like the question was asked after 10 pm my time, and then requests submitted before 8am my time, so I’d only have got a chance to respond if I checked and responded to email after 10 pm on a night when I was not expecting anything important. <div><br></div><div>I know ICANN is fairly 24 hours, but this is a bit ridiculous. </div><div><br></div><div>Could we please try to keep to at a minimum 24 hour turnarounds on things like this? <div dir="auto">Hi everyone
<div dir="auto"><br></div>
<div dir="auto">We have three travel slots assigned by icann to ncuc ec for each icann meeting. normally one slot goes to the chair and two slots go to the ec members on rotating basis. This means that the chair gets funded for every meeting but ec members receive travel slots on rotating basis i.e if you get one for this meeting you won't be eligible for the next unless other ec members do not want the travel slot. </div>
<div dir="auto"><br></div>
<div dir="auto">I am trying to see if I can free up my travel slot by getting funding from other sources. But for now we have two travel slots available. if you want travel support for Copenhagen just respond to this email. you need to also provide a brief justification as to why you want to be there for example if you are engaged with working groups etc. </div>
