We have to eat anyway and don’t have a lot of formal stuff to do so we won’t need more than a half hour to “conduct business” before heading across the street. The meeting starts 9am. Attached is the last version of the NCPH meeting agenda that was circulated. I was on a plane during the last planning call and haven’t heard that things have evolved beyond what’s written here, with the exception that I guess (per the conversation on the NCSG PC list) we will propose the global public interest for Slot J. <br class=""><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">2. Could people please indicate what time Sunday they arrive? If the four of you who are coming will arrive in time we could do a dinner + brief meeting Sunday night, which would be a lot more fun and conducive to conversation than a breakfast meeting Monday. I can make a booking or we can just wander in Dupont Circle, lot of choices.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">3. The Wednesday meeting is 10am - noon at CDT, 1634 I Street NW #1100. Unfortunately the notice is short and the timing conflicts with other meetings e.g. at the State Dept, so I don’t know how big a group of locals we might be able to pull in, but as long as we have at least ten plus our side it’s worth doing. Please feel free to reach out to any local contacts of relevance and encourage them to attend (and notify me if so). </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">4. Due to itineraries / availabilities etc. I ended up with a booking arriving Saturday night, which is not exactly how I wanted to spend my birthday but whatever. At least I might be semi-coherent by Monday morning. ICANN says it cannot cover an early extra night of hotel as per Tuesday, so I would like to formally request that we do so from the NCUC piggybank. Constituency Travel hasn’t responded to several pings as to what hotel I’m in but others have said we’re at the Beacon, so I imagine it’ll be in the $200-300 range.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Ok…time to get back into the ICANNsphere…four hours of conference calls tomorrow, while grading exams, sigh...</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">See you soon,</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Bill<br class=""><br class=""><div class=""><blockquote class=""><div class="">On Jan 2, 2015, at 12:42 PM, William Drake <<a href="mailto:william.drake@uzh.ch" class="">william.drake@uzh.ch</a>> wrote:</div><br class="ecxApple-interchange-newline"><div class=""><div style="word-wrap: break-word;" class="">Happy new year from London<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I hope everyone has their DC travel lined up.
