(as correspondingly are Lorin and Hago’s)</li><li class="">Ditto Walid/Imran/Zuan </li></ul></div><div>I propose that we offer the 4th travel slot to Walid. If he’s elected to the AP EC slot fine, if not then ok that goes to Imran & Zuan and we still can bring him as regular member who has publicly committed to do volunteer work helping with member inreach etc. He also blogs, has a good networks among human rights and other activists, etc. So I think it makes sense for NCUC to try to draw him into engagement irrespective of the election outcome. And should he lose, since on earth (as opposed to in ICANN) he’s not really from the same neighborhood as Imran & Zuan, I wouldn’t think the winner would mind if he comes as well. </div><div><br class=""></div><div>This would allow me to notify Constituency Travel of four people Joseph can get working on now. The 5th slot goes to the AF EC person, the 6th either goes to the new AP EC person if it’s not Walid, or can be redeployed in another direction, someone relatively easy to book on short-term notice without visa issues etc. I will ask CT to please cut us a slack and book the first four and we’ll get back to them on the last two Dec. 16.</div><div><br class=""></div><div>Also: the IPC wanted to bring a bunch of their local folks and Rafik and I argued no there must be parity in the number of people from each SG. But then Kathy K said she wants to attend, and she’s local. So I suggested as a compromise to IPC that each SG be able to add 2 people not needing travel support. Assuming that’s ok with everyone then we have at least a 7th person, and maybe we can ID someone else for an 8th. If it’s not I suppose we could give Kathy the 6th slot and save ICANN a couple bucks. TBD.</div><div><br class=""></div><blockquote type="cite" class=""><div class=""><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;" class=""><div class=""><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><b class="">Regarding the ICANN meeting in </b><b class="">Singapore 8-12 February:</b></div><div class=""><b class=""><br class=""></b></div><div class="">We have three slots for this meeting. The chair must go, and for the other two we rotate the opportunities across the three meetings per year. Following the usual pattern, the logical option would be to give these to the two incoming EC members who have not had the opportunity, namely the new LAC (João) and AP (TBD) reps. </div></div></div></div></blockquote></div><ul class=""><li class="">Roy will come and does not need travel support.</li><li class="">João can’t come.</li><li class="">The AF slot is again unknowable until 15 Dec. </li></ul><div class="">My suggestion would be that one slot goes to Stefi, the one known EC member who’d need a ticket and has expressed interest. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">For the other, how would people feel about offering it to Walid on the same grounds as above? If he wins ok great, if not we bring him as a regular member we want to involve. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Roy and the AF, LAC and AP (if not Walid) EC members would then have first "right of refusal” for the Mexico and Dublin meetings.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Does this make sense?
