Given the discussions of IANA and many other ICANN-related issues that will be going on there and the fact that he was invited to speak on one of the main session panels, I would think it makes sense for us to get him there. An added benefit, he is able to cover his hotel costs through another budget, so we could ask ICANN to allow us to split the support as they have in the past for ICANN meetings in order to help another person get there. However, I checked with Lea, and she doesn’t need the support, her employer will send her to Istanbul anyway.
