Will notify accordingly. However, one point first: As it turns out, Rafik had an inspired idea—since Amr cannot come to London, he’s reallocated that NCSG travel slot to Anriette. So she will get the full ICANN covered traveler treatment, and we don’t have to pay for her flight from NCUC’s account. This raises the question of whether we would like to increase our offer to Dee Dee to cover more than her plane ticket. She’d originally asked for $3k to include hotel meals etc. Or, I suppose, we could see if there’s another member for whom airfare would make the difference between coming and not coming. Suggestions?

While we cogitate, I’ll shoot DD a note and say we will cover the airfare and are discussing whether we can do more, TBC.

Grace, I’m sorry to hear about your visa issue. We would of course very much like you to be with us in London. Do let us know as soon as you can. In the event it cannot work out, has Constituency Travel already bought a ticket for you? If so I don’t know how easy it would be to cancel that and get the slot reallocated to another member but we’d have to move on it very quickly if we were to try.

Best,

Bill

I had good intentions.

I might also disappoint you again. I was not able to submit my visa for London 21 days ago as is the requirement. The Embassy here does not allow (like other embassies) for one to submit the application and then bring their passport back after some travel. I needed my passport and they told me to go submit and apply for a fast track which costs 200 GBP for visa to be processed in 5 working days. I will let you know of the status on Tuesday as it is a public holiday here on Monday and knowing that I will be needing my passport the following week. I will give an update as soon as I have feedback.

Rgds

Grace

Subject: Re: EC Meeting TODAY: Draft Agenda
From: wjdrake@gmail.com
Date: Thu, 29 May 2014 12:43:10 +0200
CC: ggithaiga@hotmail.com; caffsouza@gmail.com; pranesh@cis-india.org; Stefania.Milan@EUI.eu; rballeste@stu.edu
To: ncuc-ec@lists.ncuc.org

Hello

I of course understand that life can intrude with family health issues and unanticipated travel and all the rest, and I hope everyone is doing fine. It’s a bit unfair to those of us who were also traveling (Pranesh), ill (Stefi), or delaying a trip with spouse (me) in order to be able to make the agreed time, and frankly it was pretty embarrassing to have an ICANN staff member sitting there listening to the three of us lamenting our inability to decide on any of the pressing matters because we didn’t have quorum.
