Hi Niels,

Thanks for the comment and feedback. it was brainstorming on how to engage our members more on policy discussion, to inform them and let them participate in the process, not only in mailing list.

Brenden suggested that we can use adhocracy at least to introduce the policy topic, attach our comment/statement, getting people feedback/vote/endorsement .

it is still at idea level but I would like to start with test for NCSG to discuss topic and learn from that experience if we can use the tool, make some improvements or just try to find another solution.

I won't go in trying and having many tools. we have already a wiki space for documenting and tracking, which need more updates and editing ncsg.is

what do you think :)?

Hi Brenden,

I have been in various decision making processes where we've been
working with tools like Liquid Feedback and Loomio, but also with
wikis (mediawiki, redmine), platforms like Lorea/Elgg, github and pads.

Different groups have different preferences. And behavior change is as
hard as always. Many people organize on Facebook or mailinglists,
simply because that is what they are used to. Getting people to change
their behavior is not easy. The migration process needs a lot of
attention, (testing, getting buy-in, phasing in new tool, phasing
out/replacing old tool, evaluating, etc)

Do I understand correctly that you would like to use these tools for
NCUC? For what specific purpose? Voting? Delegation? Collaboration?

Best,
