Given that ICANN meetings are never held in that region, it means whole region is excluded from using CROP to attend ICANN meetings. I thought it might be different division for CROP for exactly same reason. I never paid attention to this but it looks strange.

And I’m really curious in which region then falls Ukraine in terms of CROP?

Great question, Ken. I checked with CROP and I am being told that Ukraine doesn’t fit into the EU region. However, if for some reason Oksana is traveling from a EU country and back to an EU country, she can still use CROP.

Andrea, we will need your comment. If I recall correctly, EU CROP funding is not available to anyone coming from Ukraine as that country is in a different “region”.

While the NCUC EC is waiting for some final approvals, we would like to check your interest in the Community Regional Outreach Program (CROP) for ICANN78 that will take place on 21-26 October 2023 in Hamburg, Germany. This time the CROP program can ensure travel funding for one NCUC member residing in Europe to attend ICANN78 meeting. You can learn more about CROP here.

Who can apply: Anyone who is a member of NCUC and resides in Europe.

Conditions

The selected candidate should be prepared to:
