here is a short update (as the NCUC Rep. in the 2020 NomCom) of my activities within the NomCom:

1. the deadline for applications was extended until Tuesday, February, 24, 2020.

<div>
2. Open positions are the following one:
<br>

<div>
<ul>
<li>Two members of the <abbr>ICANN</abbr> Board of Directors.</li>
<li>One member of the PTI Board of Directors.</li>
<li>Two regional representatives to the At-Large <abbr>Advisory Committee</abbr> (<abbr>ALAC</abbr>) – one from the European region and one from the North American region.</li>
<li>One member of the Generic Names <abbr>Supporting Organization</abbr> (<abbr>GNSO</abbr>) Council.</li>
<li>One member of the Country Code Names <abbr>Supporting Organization</abbr> (<abbr class="">ccNSO</abbr>) Council.</li>
</ul>

3. I encourage NCUC members to continue with Outreach, in particular for female candidates from the Global South. And we need strong members also for GNSO and CCNSO.

4. There will be a first assessment of candidates during the forthcomning ICANN meeting in Cancun, March 2020. As you know, the proceedings of the NomCom are confidential with regard to substance. I will try to be as transparent as possible with regard to procedures, so that you will understand und know, where we are in the process.
