<p>Hi Bruna, Tx you for asking for input. <br>
</p>
<p>For your call with ICANN CEO Goran Marby tomorrow, I can think of
nothing more important than asking about the future of .ORG and
where and how <b><i>*we, The Noncommercial Users Constituency* </i></b>will
become a part of the discussion over the controversial sale of the
.ORG domain. I would strongly follow-up on our NCSG letter of
December 9th and clearly ask about our three key "<b>critical
requests</b>," namely:</p>
<p><b>"Our critical requests to the ICANN board are these:</b>
</p>
<ul>
<li><b>ICANN has an obligation to enter into negotiations with
Ethos Capital to ensure that its operation of the ORG domain
conforms to criteria upon which the original award of ORG was
contingent (we discuss those criteria below); </b></li>
<li><b>ICANN in turn should make decisions about the future of the
ORG TLD only after consulting with impacted registrants and
the global non-commercial Internet community (we outline our
concerns below); and</b></li>
<li><b>Modifications to the Registry Agreement will be required in
order to allay our concerns and mitigate negative impact on
registrants." (as posted on IGP website - </b><b><a

href="https://www.internetgovernance.org/2019/12/11/icann-told-to-make-ethos-capital-conform-to-original-org-rfp-criteria/">https://www.internetgovernance.org/2019/12/11/icann-told-to-make-ethos-capital-conform-to-original-org-rfp-criteria/</a></b><b>)
</b><b><br>
</b></li>
</ul>
<p>How can we -- the representatives in ICANN of the .ORG Community
-- through NCUC, NPOC and NCSG *not be included* in the process
taking in the review and discussion of this sale? When will our
questions be answered about the original and ongoing obligations
of the .ORG registry? When we will ICANN open its public
consultation and how will our concerns for .ORG registrants be
taken into account? <br>
</p>
<p>What could be a more important and timely issue?</p>
<p>Best, Kathy<br>
</p>
