NCUC EC's appreciates and thanks all the candidates for the PIR<br>
representative position, the pool of candidates was obviously very<br>
qualified and competent for the job, but after going through the<br>
applications we have decided to select Renata Aquino for the position<br>
given the following reasons:<br>

(a) the candidate had a more complete application and recommendation letter.<br>
(b) the candidate has extensive experience in working with NGOs and<br>
Civil Society and a closer link with NCUC as a result of being the<br>
chair.<br>
(c) the candidate will be able to contribute to the PIR Advisory<br>
Council Discussions not only with the non-commercial perspective but<br>
also with the global south/developing country point of view, something<br>
we considered important for diversity reasons.<br>
