NCUC EC's appreciates and thanks all the candidates for the PIR
representative position, the pool of candidates was obviously very
qualified and competent for the job, but after going through the
applications we have decided to select Renata Aquino for the position
given the following reasons:
(a) the candidate had a more complete application and recommendation letter.
(b) the candidate has extensive experience in working with NGOs and
Civil Society and a closer link with NCUC as a result of being the
chair.
(c) the candidate will be able to contribute to the PIR Advisory
Council Discussions not only with the non-commercial perspective but
also with the global south/developing country point of view, something
we considered important for diversity reasons.
