The 2017 conference attracted approximately 1,300 professionals from around the world. As these participants are already tracking issues like privacy and data protection, human rights in online contexts, economic growth and development for empowerment, and increasing access to knowledge, we believe they have the capacity to be quickly brought up to speed on our work. Our longer-term goal is to help them translate these skills to Domain Name System policy debates.<br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The IFF is a conference that explores the threats to human rights enabled by the Internet. It is organised around seven themes, one of which is “Advocacy, Policy, and Research,” and is held annually in Valencia, Spain. The NCUC’s participation in this forum is made possible through one of ICANN's CROP regional opportunities.<br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Thanks,<br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Ayden Férdeline (lead organiser) and NCUC team<br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div>_______________________________________________<br class="">Ncuc-discuss mailing list<br class=""><a href="mailto:Ncuc-discuss@lists.ncuc.org" class="">Ncuc-discuss@lists.ncuc.org</a><br class="">https://lists.ncuc.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ncuc-discuss<br class=""></div></blockquote></div><br class=""></div></body></html>
