Renata am lost here. In any case one will have to speak to be head, if you don't speak you won't be head. If what is spoken and is of genuine concern I don't see why GAC wont listen. May be there is more to this that some of us will be glad to no.

Cheers,

On Saturday, October 21, 2017, Renata Aquino Ribeiro <raquino@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi Bill
There is a twist.
I never said that civil society should not speak, only that the GAC
did not or may not want to hear.
If NCUC members want to express their views on this, they should do
so, one of the ways to do that is participating in these sessions,
whether online or onsite.
As for not expressing cogently all views or creating damages in ICANN
space, I fail to perceive how a collective work of NCUC or even civil
society could be credited as that. Expressions from a group are
authored by that specific group and serve an specific purpose. NCUC
members would be familiar with NCUC values when communicating on
behalf of the group.
Unless it is not NCUC we are talking about.

Best,
