tourism to replace substance in ICANN’s activities. There seem to be so many distractions these days from the real policy work we are supposed to be doing.

<p>I think we should hold the intersessional every other year. While I appreciate the ability to spend time in casual conversation with people we are normally battling in policy issues (the Non-Contracted parties are often on opposite sides of free expression,
privacy, intellectual property and fair use issues, as you could expect), Farzi is right. These meetings take A LOT of time to plan and then to attend.

<p>They also have dangers. If we are unprepared, requests seems to slip in from other groups that we then spend months trying to push back.

<p>May I suggest every other year?<br>
