Each applicant can receive a maximum of 2000 USD for justifiable expenses. Travel support policy can be found here: <a href="http://www.ncuc.org/participate/ncuc-travel-support/" target="_blank">http://www.ncuc.org/part<wbr>icipate/ncuc-travel-support/</a></font></div><div><font color="#000000"><br></font></div><div><font color="#000000">The EC has decided this time to allocate travel support for ICANN Copenhagen meeting in the following format: we will allocate travel support to <b>experienced and new members </b>who apply.</font></div></span></span></span><div><ul style="font-size:12.8px"><li style="margin-left:15px"><font color="#000000"> <b>The experienced members</b> should mentor the new members (or those who are not yet much engaged with NCUC and ICANN) as to how to get engaged with policymaking and working groups and ccwgs at ICANN. Priority will be given to those candidates who are already signed up at these working groups (for a list of working groups, see attached) and have attended at least a couple of sessions and have verifiable activities ( for example, are active on the mailing list or can prove they have attended the sessions and commented on the discussions. </font></li><li style="margin-left:15px"><font color="#000000"> <b>The new members</b> should identify activities within NCUC and ICANN to be engaged with and state those in their application for travel support. In the months leading to Copenhagen meeting, the mentee has to provide evidence that they are involved with some activities at NCUC and ICANN. Activities and working groups that are the focus of Copenhagen meeting should be prioritized. A list of working groups and ccwgs is attached (they are item number 4 highlighted in a red box).</font></li><span class="gmail-im"><li style="margin-left:15px"><font color="#000000"> If the New members cannot provide evidence of their active involvement with NCUC, their travel support may be revoked. The mentors should commit to providing help and guidance for the mentee. Evidence should be shown in the form of attendance in working group and other groups meeting and the mentor feedback on your attendance.</font></li><span class="gmail-m_-3649871597536876799gmail-im"><span class="gmail-m_-3649871597536876799gmail-m_4175976406846855469gmail-im"><li style="margin-left:15px"><font color="#000000">If experienced members do not apply for travel support, EC members or other volunteers will mentor the newcomers.</font></li></span></span></span></ul><font color="#000000"><span style="font-size:12.8px"><div>The mentoring requirement is lightweight. The mentor should be the mentee's link to NCUC and ICANN activities and policy work. It basically involves indicating activities which can be done in partnership or individually by coordination, such as getting engaged in a working group or contributing to a public comment(s).</div><div><br></div><div>The next ICANN meeting will be held from 11 to 17 March in Copenhagen, Denmark.
