She is the right person for this job at the right time. Bill's hard work created a Constituency in fact as well</div><div>as in name, Rafik stabilised and normalised the group, and now it's time for someone like Farzi - passionate, ambitious, intelligent and hard working - to take the NCUC to new heights. To do so, though, she is going to need the support of hard working regional members of the EC, which is why I'm so happy to second your nomination of Anna Loup to succeed you on the EC.</div><div><br></div><div>Anna is new to the NCUC but not to ICANN. As a former intern at ICANN Anna learned about the organisation first hand and...how to put this diplomatically...knows that more than a few things need to change. She's able to provide us with an insiders perspective while most definitely agreeing with the change many of us outsiders feel is needed. </div><div><br></div><div>I first me Anna last year when she ran the USC Institute of Internet Diplomacy. The Institute was a joint project between USC and ICANN. I was fortunate enough to be an invited speaker at the Institute, along with people like Steve Crocker, Fadi and others. Although a joint project it was quite clear to many of us that ICANN's lead, who is no longer employed by the organisation, was not completely competent. Anna saved the day, showing an administrative skill that I'm sure she'll put to good use if selected for the EC.</div><div><br></div><div>Since joining the NCUC a few months ago Anna has shown a marked ability to dive into the work. I know she's worked with Farzi to develop a portion of the Bylaws. She's also working with me on the CEP CCWG WS2 subgroup and, in fact, is leading the effort of one of our sub-subgroups. The fact she is doing all this while in her first year of studies as a phD student at USC is a testament to both her professionalism and time management skills. Than you Anna!</div><div><br></div><div>Frankly I'm excited about the Farzi - Anna combo, should they both be selected. Four years ago I was on an all male EC. We argued a lot. Together, with what I hope and trust will be three other productive EC members, this combination will in my view work cooperatively and productively to really bring our Constituency to a higher level.</div><div><br></div><div>Finally, Milton, thank you for your year of service on the EC. When you ran last year you said you wanted to spearhead the drive for a new Bylaws. I was skeptical. I had tried to do this and failed, as had many before me.
