<p dir="ltr">Dear NCUCers,<br>
I would like to apply as a mentee. I have been part of ICANN now for 2 years. I am still learning. I attended the ICANN fellowship program during the ICANN meeting in Durban South Africa. I am a member of both NCUC and NCSG. I have raised some questions about the difference between the two on the list and frankly I still dont understand it even though many of the incredible here tried to explain it to me.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I work at the University in Kampala Uganda and have had an opportunity to talk about the work of ICANN to the students. </p>
<p dir="ltr">I believe I am a work in progress to take leadership in the community. Right now I am trying to learn as much as I can. After my first interface with ICANN during the fellowship, I took the very first opportunity to join NCUC. I thought this would give me a platform to learn and participate. </p>

<div>Under the instructions of the ICANN staff, each week both the Mentor and Mentee should allocate one or two hours meeting online in their agreed-upon timeframe.<br>

<div>2. Good Knowledge about ICANN (for the Mentor only)</div>

<div>According to the Mentor Pilot Program, we need one Mentor, who is an ICANN veteran. We need one who has strong wish to educate and mentor new guys and could come up with an idea of coaching, for instance, a specific area or subject.</div>

<div>3. Without Knowledge about ICANN (for the Mentee only)</div>

<div>In terms of diversity, Mentee candidates from Africa, MEMA region or the Latin region are preferred. In case, there are more candidates, ladies are preferred.</div>

<div>5. A Brief Report (for the Mentor only)</div>

<div>We need the Mentor to draft a brief coaching report which could tell us what the Mentor has done for coaching the Mentee. It could be brief.<br>

<div>6. The final decision regarding selection of the Mentor and Mentee candidates rests upon the EC.</div>

<div>When the EC makes the final selection, it would deliver its rationale.</div>
