Though <span style="font-size: 12pt;">I have no idea whether it helps, I have tried to make it happen.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt;">In August when we selected the NCUC appointee to the 2016 Nominating Committee. We have two candidates: Remmy and Bill. </span><span style="font-size: 12pt;">During the selection process, concerns were raised regarding to what positions NCUC has to appoint representatives. It seemed that some members did not know much about that.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt;">(Recall that couple of weeks ago, Tapani sent a call for volunteers to serve on the SCI, that was for NCSG, we have our NCUC representatives to SCI).</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt;">(Besides, each year, the EC has to make decisions for various positions NCUC has to appoint a representative(s).</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Also, for travel support, we have limited travel slots. The EC also has to decide h</span><span style="font-size: 12pt;">ow to allocate the ICANN funding slots and NCUC funding slots.)</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt;">So we came to realize that something must be done in order for members to have knowledge of NCUC vairous positions.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Going back, we do not have a complete and overall </span><b style="font-size: 12pt;"> INSTITUTIONAL MEMORY List</b><span style="font-size: 12pt;"> since the inception of NCUC. <div dir="ltr">Dear Glen,<div><br></div><div>Hope everying is going well with you.Really looking forward to meeting you in Dublin Meeting which is days to go.</div><div><br></div><div>I am writing in the hope of having your help to deliver a list of the historical records of covered travellers in NCUC.</div><div><br></div><div>As you can read from the earlier emails below, we, on the Executive Committee of NCUC, talked about this when we selected a NCUC Delegate to the ICANN 2016 NomCom (finally we had Bill fill into the position). During the selection, we heard concerns that some NCUC members (not to mention the potential new members) did not have idea of the NCUC history along with who had ever held what positions representing NCUC in the ICANN community. </div><div><span style="font-size:12pt;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size:12pt;">So we came to realize that NCUC did have a lack of a clear and complete </span><b style="font-size:12pt;"> INSTITUTIONAL MEMORY</b><span style="font-size:12pt;"> since its inception.</span></div><div><span style="font-size:12pt;"><br></span></div><div>So I came up and would like to help build that for NCUC. </div><div><br></div><div>You could find the attachment what I have been working on.</div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:12pt;">I have dug the email archives of NCUC EC since 1999 to compile those records, however, still incomplete now.</span></div><div><br></div><div>The last part of the documentation is the <b>Histrory of Allocation of NCUC covered slots</b>, which could help the EC (incumbent or future) to decide whom to be funded on the principle of rotation. am here already :)</div><div>I think you got already a plan to proceed. as mentioned several times, it is important to remind members about process what was done before and refer to charter when needed. just focus to conduct this appointment process for now then do a retrospective later to find what can be improved and write down the process to document it. you cannot improve such process on
