Unfortunately, I’ve been really swamped with other stuff of late and am not sure whether the various folks working on Chinese, French, Spanish, and Portuguese versions consider themselves to be done or it’s still in process. When you all are indeed done (and sorry if I’ve left out anyone involved in the Cc), please forward them in Word and PDF to Maryam Bakoshi <a href="mailto:maryam.bakoshi@icann.org" class="">maryam.bakoshi@icann.org</a> and she will post them to <a href="http://www.ncuc.org/brochure/" class="">http://www.ncuc.org/brochure/</a>.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Before declaring yourselves done though, can I ask one small favor? Amr has pointed out to me that one small bit of language is misleading and probably should be tweaked. When Milton and I banged this out a couple years ago in a rush to get it to ICANN for printing before a meeting, we wrote in the section "Who We Are” that "we have real voting power in ICANN's bottom-up, multistakeholder policymaking process, including the opportunity to help elect members of the GNSO Council and two members of the ICANN Board of Directors.” “Help" seemed like ok shorthand insofar as members who are elected NCSG Councilors have engaged in discussions with peers related to the two GNSO board members. But in fact they only actually vote for the one board member that represents the NonContracted Parties House. The brochure has been out there floating around for a couple years and nobody ever pointed this out until Amr raised it the other day, yikes. What can I say, everyone makes mistakes. Too busy to reread our own verbiage carefully…but we should have technically correct language.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">So may I ask that in translating, everyone please fix this line to say "help elect members of the GNSO Council and <b class="">one</b> member of the ICANN Board of Directors.” Maryam, could you please fix the English version as well?</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Thanks</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Bill</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div></div></div></blockquote></div><br class=""></div></body></html>
