internet governance, civil society and communication policy advocacy</span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:10pt">Our 2015 summer institute will take place from
28 June to 4 July at Central European University in Budapest. Application
deadline is 15 March.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Times"></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:10pt">Workshops will explore how activists are campaigning for an
open internet, freedom of </span><span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:10pt">expression norms in
different contexts around the world, </span><span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:10pt">the current state of play
surrounding internet governance, and the potential of technology and online
tools for mobilizing and organizing constituencies and for enhancing the
security and privacy of advocates. This year, special attention will be paid to
the relationship between the policies of internet companies, violent extremism,
surveillance, filtering, and content take down requests by governments.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Times"></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:10pt">Organized by the </span><a href="http://cmds.ceu.edu/" style="font-family:Arial;font-size:10pt" target="_blank"><span style="color:rgb(0,128,255)">Center for Media, Data and Society at the School of
