Congratulations to NCSG for putting two very important motions on the agenda today for next week's GNSO Council Meeting in Beijing.<div><br></div><div>Maria Farrell proposed a motion before the GNSO Council to ask the board to reconsider staff's decision to adopt the controversial provisions of the staff's "strawman solution" outside of proper process:</div><div> <a href="http://gnso.icann.org/mailing-lists/archives/council/msg14407.html">http://gnso.icann.org/mailing-lists/archives/council/msg14407.html</a></div><div><br></div><div>A GNSO Councilor from the Registrar Stakeholder Group seconded Maria's motion.</div><div><br></div><div>Also, Wendy Seltzer proposed a motion to council that would permit the registrars to continue to extend existing rights and obligations to registrants until the GNSO adopts a consensus supporting the changes that ICANN is unilaterally trying to impose on registrars (and Internet users).</div><div> <a href="http://gnso.icann.org/mailing-lists/archives/council/msg14409.html">http://gnso.icann.org/mailing-lists/archives/council/msg14409.html</a><br><br></div><div>Excellent work, ladies!
