statements o</title></head><body>
<div>Hi all,</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>I just want to note for everyone that the ICANN Nomcom has posted
a call for statements of interest for leadership positions on its
Board of Directors and Supporting Organizations. The deadline
for submissions in July 16, 2006. It is so so so very important
that the NCUC members a) send out this call for candidates far and
wide and b) think about suitable candidates and ask them to
apply.</div>
<div><br>
Please read the material below and consider who might be a strong
candidate. Note, self-nominations are strongly encouraged. All
applications will be handled confidentially.<br>
<br>
We are to select 3 board members, 2 members of the At Large Advisory
Committee (positions representing European and North American
regions), 1 member of the Council of the Country-Code Names Supporting
Organization (ccNSO), 1 member of the Council of the Generic Names
Supporting Organization (GNSO).<br>
<br>
Please see <<a
href="http://www.icann.org/committees/nom-comm/"
>http://www.icann.org/committees/nom-comm/</a>> for more
information about how to submit a statement of interest.<br>
</div>
<div>I'd be happy to help explain the process and positions to anyone
considering becoming a candidate.<br>
</div>
<div>Best,</div>
<div><br></div>
