The NCC Adcom is much more than an administrative group. As you may know, the NCC was innovative in creating Adcom. Instead of merely electing our three representatives to the Names Council, we decided to allow all five regions to have a representative in the group we named "Adcom." Three of our Adcom members also serve on the Names Council.

Our five Adcom leaders have been charged by their regions and by the NCC in representing us and being involved in the substantive and procedural work of the NCC, the Names Council and ICANN. We elect them to help make decisions, and guide our leadership and participation.... -kathy kleiman, acm-igp
