As your Policy Representative to NCSG, It is my pleasure to give you a brief update about recent key activities.

As most of you could have guessed, the hot topic is about EPDP. The objective is to form a PDP WG that should work very fast (within a year) and come up with a consensus to confirm or replace the current Temporary Specifications applicable since May 2018.

Then, in collaboration with people from the GNSO and ICANN staff Marika Konings, many NCSG members (especially from the PC) worked together to draft the EPDP charter <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xByqLnISySrYPrLJd5LUAk_aN5MiZEquNsSudQ2ymWw/edit?usp=sharing>. Afterwards, the Policy Committee launched a call for 6 volunteers and 3 alternates to represent the NCSG within the EPDP team. Those are :

Apart from the EPDP, there are many Public Comments pending volunteers or being drafted, and either case requires more contributions. 

Elsa, Yazid et al. drafted the Public comment on the Open Data Initiatives whose deadline was yesterday July 27th, same for SSAC2 drafted by Poncelet and for the Fellowship public comment that involved Ayden among others.
Farzaneh recently drafted two public comments that require review by the community before they can be submitted (Rafik sent an e-mail to the NCSG list, I could forward)
