I disagree, the process for revising the two sets of bylaws are separate, there are linkages of course but I think we do need to keep these decoupled.

By-laws are the rules by which we conduct our affairs. Hence yes I agree. however it must be carefully drafted to avoid ambiguity. Re the syncing - that can be achieved thru joint WG (NCUC and NCSG) so that amendments are discussed and happen concurrently.

The more concrete the bylaws are, the best it works.
Discretion in the rules always cause lack kf transparency.

May‎ I suggest a methodology to provide a 3-column table in which the original text, the proposed text and comments to be placed.

All

EC will meet today in a couple of hours to discuss questions and comments on the NCUC bylaws. Please consider discussing the questions below. We will have the public meeting with ncuc members on Monday next week.

Questions:
1. Should the bylaws include the process of removal of ncuc officers such as EC members and how?

2. Should the bylaws predict processes for participating in empowered community and how?

3. Changes are made to the ncuc bylaws to align it with ncsg bylaws. Since ncsg is going to go under bylaws reviews what should be done if ncsg bylaws again disalign with ncuc in some respects?

you can also share any issue/question you would like to add for discussion.

Best regards,

Farzaneh
