We all know the dangers of the Internet on children and
adolescents Is that the solution is to prevent children from using the
Internet? Sure No.
 Here are several tips
to help us protect our children:
1- Determine the appropriate times to enter the children of
the Internet that do not conflict with times of studying or sleeping.
2- To specify a time period to use the Internet every day
there should never be left to the child for long periods of time in front of a
computer.3 - To have a computer in a public place at home
as a living room, for example, and avoid put the device in a child's bedroom or
in a secluded place so that we can monitor the child while browsing

4- It is preferable that the child uses a computer desk so
as not to give him the possibility of taking the device from one place to
another and lose sight of the monitor.
5 - To provide the child with a comfortable chair to sit
upon it in front of a computer, and keep the device screen away an appropriate
distance from him until his eyes are not affected.
6 - To warn the child to not give any information about him
or his family to an unknown person in a social networking sites and show him
risk his safety and the safety of his family.
7 - To use software tools for the protection of children
while surfing the Internet.
8-  Show that the
child is always the appropriate locations to him and that he should be browsed
and  know the new sites constantly and be
safe and secure.
9 -  Inform the child
that he is not to be trusted in any one on the Internet, You never know who is
on the other end and not give him any personal information or belonging to the
family (personal or family pictures, bank card numbers, etc ....).
10- discuss the risk with your children and agree on some
rules for internet use.
11- install an internet content filter.
The Way
Forward:
- Must work all  countries  as a team to protect children from
the dangers of the Internet as part of cyber security through the work of
legislation and laws that protect children.
-The establishment of workshops to raise awareness to
protect children from the negative effects of the use of the Internet.
-Establish an effective mechanism to protect children from
these risks and rapid intervention to protect children.
-Work to create a safe and effective sites attract
children's attention and fill the void I have children and help them to
innovate and raise the mental capacity to have.
-Activating the laws and treaties protect the rights of
children in all countries.
-Attention to the psychological and educational aspects for
the kids.

I hope this is guide you.

Dear Mark;

Intended to protect children is not blocking Internet sites, but to find ways and means to protect children from the dangers of the Internet and find an effective mechanism to guide and advise parents on how to protect them. There are a lot of risks, including sexual harassment of children and blackmail, intimidation and exploitation.

Thanks

I agree with Mark—internet freedom and “protecting” a special class of someone are generally at odds with each other.

Sorry - completely disagree. "Protecting children" is often abused and used a mantra for imposing government control, filters, and other forms of control on the Internet. 90% of all child abuse comes WITHIN the home, NOT the Internet. I want no part of any NCUC position or letters arguing greater control over the Internet in the name of protecting children, and would campaign against the NCUC taking any measures to do so.

I believe we can all agree that Child Protection, both online and offline, is extremely important, but I also believe that parents should also have a relatively clear understanding of what is happening and what are the risks of not being "careful" with the amount of freedom they give their kids.
