Contrary to so many of its critics, the ICANN Board has paid attention to
practical matters of administering critical infrastructure services. It
has done this in the face of very forceful criticisms based on very
forceful ignorance and very forceful appeals to emotion.

When those critics stop treating ICANN as if it were a playground for
self-promotion or for theoretical exercises in global politics, then the
public discussion will be able to move away from silly public exchanges in
favor of constructive public discussions.

As always, your persistence in negative tone, mixed with willfully ignoring
practical concerns, is impressive.
