Dear NCUC Africa members

I have the pleasure of bringing to your attention the *Internet Governance
Forum (IGF) 2022 Summary Report*

reflects major takeaways from the 17th annual IGF meeting hosted in Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia from 28 November until 2 December 2022 under the
overarching theme of “Resilient Internet for a Shared Sustainable and
Common Future”.

The Report contains the *Addis Ababa IGF Messages* focused on the Forum’s
key thematic areas of:

   - *Connecting All People and Safeguarding Human Rights*
   - *Avoiding Internet Fragmentation*
   - *Governing Data and Protecting Privacy*
   - *Enabling Safety, Security and Accountability, and*
   - *Addressing Advanced Technologies, including Artificial Intelligence*



Also, in the Report you can find the *Messages from Youth *and from the
* Parliamentarians, *as well as outputs from various* intersessional
workstreams*.

The outputs aim at supporting all stakeholder groups’ policy- and
decision-making processes on the vital intersections of Internet
governance, digital transformation and sustainable development.

work processes.
