<div style><br></div><div style>to involve members effectively , we need to know their area of interests and background and engage them when needed as experts for example someone interested by development issues may be interested in the revival of JAS WG while an academic can be hooked with a topic of governance and accountability , a kind of information we can add to the database, maybe a topic for discussion between e-team and membership affairs and we move step by step (and prioritise) an action plan will be helpful . </div>
<div style><br></div><div style>we had also some discussion about civicrm and dave offered to help. I am not advising an inflation of tools but thinking about integrated set of tools that we can use frequently : wordpress(website for organisational memory,project management?,ncuc calendar, decisions, statements) + civicrm (+database for members management, engagement, following-up)+ etherpad(for statement drafting, collaborative work etc)</div>

We’re very happy to have you on board as a new member! NCUC has a diverse global membership comprising about 90 organizations and 210 individuals in 70 countries across all five <span> </span><a href="http://www.icann.org/" target="_blank">ICANN</a>-recognized geographic regions. Our members work in fields like civil liberties and human rights, Internet freedom, consumer protection, education, research, development, and many other areas of public policy advocacy. The NCUC advocates positions on domain name-related policies that reflect these sorts of interests and values and seek to protect and support noncommercial communication and activity on the Internet. </div>
<div style="min-height:32px"><br></div><div>Since 1999, NCUC has provided a home for civil society organizations and individuals who want to follow or participate in the work of ICANN’s Generic Names Supporting Organization (<a href="http://gnso.icann.org/en/" target="_blank">GNSO</a>). The GNSO is the body in which business and civil society stakeholders are represented in ICANN to develop consensus policies for governing generic top level domain (gTLD) names like .com, .org and .info. NCUC is one of two constituencies within the GNSO’s Noncommercial Stakeholder Group (<a href="http://gnso.icann.org/en/about/stakeholders-constituencies/ncsg" target="_blank">NCSG</a>), and we have real voting power in ICANN's bottom-up, multistakeholder policymaking processes.</div>
